The theme of my disseration is an architecture study of multifunctional building which is surrounded by the streets Křenová, Rumiště, Mlýnská a Štěpánská. The main aim of the work is to create structure wich would offer different functions. These would fill the missing services and offer new opportunities. The result of my design is the construction which is characterized by its public terraces placed on top of the covered parking lots on the first floor. The whole complex is formed by three connected blocks. One of the important parts of the design is to uncover river Ponávka. That would make this area more attractive. The building has 2 underground floors and up to 6 floors. In the first two stories there are different public services - shops, café, restaurant, kindergarten, fitness, art gallery and other. In the third and fourth floor there are offices and apartements. Fifth and six floor are just for living. The construction of the building is from monolithic reinforced concrete frame, horizontal structure consists of beamless slabs.

Roleček, Jakub ; Ležatka,, Lukáš (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor)
Nowadays water in Brno is mostly packaged in plastic bottles. Is there any opportunity to give the habitant of Brno reminiscence of 19th century urban atmosphere, so-called "Little Venice"? The river as live element brings movement to the static topography. Today its feature in cities is certanly required as a city-forming maker, the basic topographical landmark. A suitable factor in creating boundaries. Boundary that divides, combines, defines, orients. It divides the dense building structure of the city and delivers the necessary cleanup, space for relaxing and meeting. After a thorough analysis of Brno streams were defined areas of interest. It has become the resolution of the diploma thesis, which should be a starting guide for restoration and interconnection of watercourses to everyday life of citizens in the city of Brno. Best idea became a resumption of the creek Ponávka. The project aims to return not only Ponávka itself from Brno's underground, but also a return to medieval ideals due to a water feature on the city streets.

Pucholdtová, Lucie ; Elešová, Klára (referee) ; Dulenčín, Juraj (advisor) ; Kacálek, Petr (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is the planning permission documentation and an extract from the project execution plan based on my previous studio work in the course of AG034 back in 2017. The work deals with a design of a condominium in Mlynska street, Brno. Mlynska street in the borough of Trnita is in close proximity to the historic centre. Mlynska street and its surroundings is an area that has become extremely popular with developers, is undergoing a massive renovation and holds a remarkable potential for future (like Vlněna Office Park complex or Ponvka business park). The building lot consists of allotments number 27/1-10 and 40/1, which are currently in possession of the company Rezidence PONÁVKA s.r.o.. The lot is not in any protected zone or area. The design aims at housing, commercial, administrative and educational functions. With a special aspect to the educational function, the building comprises a coffee shop with a bookshop and a study room on the ground floor and co-working centre with a conference hall on the 2nd and 3rd stories. All the educational spaces are inspired by the work of two scholars and education supporters František Šujan and Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi. A nearby square is named after those two men who both fought for education to be available for people of all social classes. The building should help this part of the town to develop fully and raise standards in this part of the town.

Bachelors thesis deals with multifunctional building by the street Krenova a Skorepka in Brno. The proposal consider the planned New urban boulevard. The building responds to the direction of the surrounding streets with its form and it concludes the block of houses by the streets Krenova a Skorepka. The first two floors of shops occupy almost the entire plot, other floors follow the neighboring houses and they orbit the atrium with a roof garden like a horsehoe. The parking space is located in the basement. Southern part of the administration forms playful glass facade with alternating clear and milk glass, however the lower housing part which is by contrast white plastered, gives calm impression. Both parts are connected by glazed communication unit. The space in front of the building will be landscaped towards the New urban boulevard with newly uncovered Ponavka river.
